Trigonometric Identity
A trigonometric identity is an equation involving trigonometric ratios of an angle, where the equation holds true for a defined range of values of the angle.

For the right triangle ABC, let 0°≤ A ≤ 90°

1) cos 2 A + sin 2 A = 1.

2) cos 2 A =1 - sin 2 A.

3) sin 2 A =1 - cos 2 A.

4) sec 2 A - tan 2 A = 1.

5) 1 + tan 2 A = sec 2 A.

 6) tan 2 A = sec 2 A – 1.

7) cosec 2 A - cot 2 A = 1.

8) cot 2 A + 1 = cosec 2 A.

9) cot 2 A = cosec 2 A – 1 .

10) sec A - tan A = 1 sec A + tan A

11) cosec A - cot A = 1 cosec A + cot A
