Distance Formula

The distance between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is  whereas distance between any point (x, y) and origin is on the graph.  If the A, B and C are three collinear points then AB + BC = AC or AB + AC =BC or AC + BC = AB.

distance, length, points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), distance between any two points, length of line segment. Point (x, y)

collinear points, points on same straight line, points, area of triangle is zero, points on a plane, graph

If three points on graphics are given and the sum of the distances of two points from a third points is equal to the distance between the first two points, the three points on the graph are collinear.

IF AB + BC = AC then A, B and C are collinear.
