Area of Triangle

Area of triangle is half the product of its base and corresponding altitude if the base and altitude are given.

If a, b and c are sides of a triangle then its area is given by herons formula  .

we can calculate the area of a triangle even if its three vertices are given.  If (x1, y1), (x2, y2) and (x3, y3) are the vertices of a triangle

then its area is given by  square units.
If the area of triangle is zero then the points are called collinear points or vice-versa.

area of triangle, herons formula, area of scalene triangle, area of triangle with sides a,b,c

area of triangle, area of triangle with 3 vertices, area of triangle when coordinates are given, area, collinear points, points on the same line
Area of triangle =  square units.
If area of triangle is zero then the points are collinear.
