The Ministry of Power in association with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has in the CBSE schools launched the National Awareness Campaign 2013 with the objective of promoting energy conservation in the country. A Painting competition will be held on energy conservation as one of the activities in the campaign in three stages i.e. School level, State level and the National level.
The competition is open for students of classes IV to IX where the different classes are divided under two categories i.e. Category ‘A’ and ‘B’. The students of classes IV, V and VI fall in Category ‘A’ while students from VII, VIII and IX fall in Category ‘B’. The students participating can select any one of the following topics for the competition:
|Category ‘A’ – 2 Hours||Category ‘B’ – 2 Hours|
|Save Money- Practice Energy Conservation||Energy Conservation- A vision of the Future|
|Bijli Bachao, Har Ghar Mein Prakaash Lao
(Save Electricity, Illuminate Every Home)
|Energy Conservation is the foundation of Energy Security|
|Save One Unit a Day, Keep power cut away||Energy Efficiency is a journey not a destination|
The school will select the two best paintings along with the information of the total number of participants and the percentage of student participation in the both the Categories. Once this is done, the school needs to send the information to the address of their respective State/UT Nodal Officer before the October 7th, 2013.
As all the paintings received by BEE will get the “Certificate of Appreciation”, the schools are requested to send only two best paintings other than the paintings sent to the State Nodal Officer. The schools located outside the country however will have to limit the competition at the School Level only. The paints under each category are to be sent at the below mentioned address:
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE),
R. K. Puram, Sector-1,
New Delhi-110066 (INDIA)
It is very important that every painting carries the Name of the student, Father’s/Mother’s Name, Class and Roll no, School Name, Postal Address, Govt. School in Rural area (Write Yes or No), State/ UT School ,Tel. No./Mobile No and the Signature of School Principal. The list of the Nodal Officials as the different states is available at www.bee-india.nic.in and at www.energymanagertraining.com.
State Level Competition:
From the total number of paintings received by various schools few will be shortlisted from both the categories ‘A’ and ’B’ and will be invited to a designated place. The selected participants will then have to at the State-Level enter an on-the-spot 2 hours painting competition.
The first, second and the third place winner in the State Level Painting Competition from Category ‘A’ from each State and the UT will be invited with their guardian to Delhi to participate in the National Level Painting Competition.
It must be noted that the schools which show 100% participation at the School Level Painting Competition will be mentioned in the Painting Competition Booklet prepared by BBE. The major reason to emphasize on School participation Nationally, is to sensitize and educate not only the school children, but also the parents and teachers on the importance of energy conservation of energy.
